The Missing Piece strives to provide services to assist clients and families learn and grow together!  

One-to-one ABA Therapy 

ABA Therapy applies data driven decision making to assist clients in increasing speech and language, verbal behavior, social skills, daily living skills, and decrease frequency and severity of maladaptive behaviors.  These are some of the skill areas worked on during ABA Therapy every day:

  • Toilet training and toilet training readiness

  • Tooth brushing

  • hand washing

  • Increased communication

  • Social skills

  • Attention to tasks

  • Fine and Gross Motor Abilities

  • Group Skills

  • Reading and writing

  • Reduction in maladaptive behaviors such as: aggression, self-injury, elopement, etc.

  • Labeling

  • Ability to follow single and multi step directions

  • And much more!!!

Parent Training

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will meet with parents/caregivers monthly to discuss progress, goals, current strategies utilized, and ensure skills are generalized to the home setting.  The Missing Piece ABA Therapy utilizes Research Units in Behavior Intervention (RUBI) structured parent training to assist in educating parents/caregivers and to assist in generalizing skills learned in the clinical setting to home. The following may be reviewed during parent training sessions:

  • Individualized Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP)

  • Antecedent strategies

  • Sleeping 

  • Picky eating

  • Visual Schedules

  • Sibling Interactions

  • Data collection procedures 

  • Individual Treatment Plan (ITP)

  • A parent can always request training on any area they are having difficulty with in the home setting!
